My story is about abuse and
about the way my father in law beat and abused his five
children. How, he shot and killed my mother-in-law as
she sat quietly hand quilting. How, this same person
raped his beautiful daughter, she gave birth to a baby
at the age of fourteen. The child was born being
terribly deformed. The baby lived two weeks and was
buried by a cornfield. How was my sister-in-law killed
you ask? My brother in law said; his wife went to the
outside toilet, fell hitting her head on a rock, she
died instantly, so the story goes.
My story begins back in 1942 back
when men actually owned their wife. If a man/husband
said, it was an accident, then it was passed off as an
accident, no law enforcement was ever called in.
There was incest in my husband's
family. I want people that have young girls to know
how this abuse and incest is handed down from
generation to generation. How my husband followed
in his father's foot steps. How I continued in the
footsteps of Godly parents, goes back to the Bible,
"Bring them up in the way they should go".
I have tried to give my readers
more understanding as to why men & women that are
abusers
grow up to
do the same thing. The truth is, they don't know any
better. To me it is a monkey see monkey do
situation. They are doing what they saw their
fathers do to their mothers and visa versa when they
were growing up. That is how men controlled
their women & children during that era. The
first question that abused
women/men have asked me over the years, many times
is "WHY?" Why does he treat me so mean
when I bend over backwards to please him/her?
I started typing my story back in
1987 just for therapy. To write this story was the
most terrifying gut wrenching thing I have ever
done, or can ever do. I cry, I walk away, but for
some reason I couldn't let go of my pain. The more
I typed, the more I began getting more and more
insight as to why my husband was so abusive. The
mental abuse was almost on a daily basis. I kept
asking myself why? Why is he treating me like this,
when I do everything in my power to please him?
Then when AOL came with the
Internet a person wrote me begging me to let
them make me a web site. I was so thrilled. I
so wanted to reach out and help others
understand. I have heard from
literally thousands of abused & battered
men/ women around the world.
